We have another awesome music supervisor meet-and-greet workshop for our Pandion community! Have you been looking for more opportunities to meet music supervisors face-to-face, and get the chance to hear directly from them what tips they have for artists to increase their chances of getting their music synced? Well you’ve come to the right place!
Join us for this meet-and-greet workshop with Scott Velasquez, a Texas native, now living in Los Angeles, born with the gift of Chromesthesia, meaning he sees color with sound. Among his traditional film and television music supervision credits, Scott has become a pioneer in the world of podcast music supervision. He received two Ambie Nomination from the Podcast Academy in 2020 for Outstanding Music Supervision for his work on Bunga Bunga and Fed Up, as well as a Webby award for Original Score/Sound Design for both.
Scott is also classically trained in Vocal Performance and has Master’s degrees in Music Supervision and Music Business from Berklee College of Music. Scott began his career in music in A&R working in Hip Hop, Rap, and RnB with the likes of Pitbull, Lil’ Wayne and Chamillionaire. He has also worked alongside Wondery and Amazon music to music supervise, license, and create custom music for over 2,000 podcast episodes. Scott has worked on numerous award-winning projects like Dr. Death (Wondery), The Shrink Next Door (Bloomberg/Wondery), WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork (Wondery) and Joe Exotic (Wondery) and Dying For Sex (Wondery), that have been/will be adapted for television. Scott also was a music supervisor for the 2020 Biden/Harris Presidential Campaign. He has also written and scored original music and themes for shows like Bunga Bunga (Wondery), I Am Kobe (iHeart Radio), British Scandal (Wondery), Who Killed Daphne (Wondery), Even The Rich (Wondery), and The ReWatcher: Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Morbid/Wondery).
